Climbing Baby
Goat
Goats are so fun
Watch them run
With you in the sun
See their playing done.
Goats Of The Rocks
“Knowest thou the time when the wild goats of the rock bring forth?”
Job 39:1
“The high hills are a refuge for the wild goats;”
Psalms 104:18
God calls the goat a clean animal like the sheep and the cow.
When the Israelites had their worship service they often used a goat for the sacrifice as well as sheep. This offering of sacrifices began at the time when Adam and Eve first sinned because it was to be a symbol to represent Jesus who would take the place of the sinner so the sinner would not have to die eternally and would give hope to the repentant sinner.

When Jesus walked this earth many years ago He taught the people lessons by telling them parables or illustrated stories. He was such an interesting teacher that great multitudes of people followed him and wanted to hear everything he said. The people were spellbound with wrapped attention to make sure they did not miss anything.
One of these lessons is about the sheep and the goats and this is illustrating people as sheep and goats, so you and I can choose whether or not we want to be a sheep or a goat in the final decisions made at the end of the world.

“When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
For I was an hungered, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungered, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”
Matthew 25:31-46
WE need to pray every day to be making right decisions all through our life so that in the end we will have chosen to be a sheep on the right hand of Jesus! Then we will live with Jesus forever through eternity in heaven.

When I was a girl we had several baby goats. They were black and brown and white mixed on their short hair. But there was one that was all white and another one that was all light brown with a white tip on its tail. They were so little and cute. The frisky little animals are fun to play with and we had a great time. We built them a nice house to make them feel comfortable at night. After a while though, one got sick and died and we were heart broken. What happened to the poor little kid? And then another one got sick and died and then another and another until they all died except for the white one and the tiny little light brown one with the white tip. These two little goats gave us so much pleasure and enjoyment running through the trees and watching them play. We would put a wagon behind them to pull around. This was the highlight of our day. The white goat got to be a nice size and a pretty pet but finally one day it got sick and died also. The little light brown goat grew a bit but stayed small and frisky and full of life. We were so glad that one little goat was still alive for us to enjoy. But you know even though there is so much death in the world, very soon when we go to heaven there will be no animal or flower or plant or person that will ever die again, never!! Praise the Lord Jesus for that wonderful promise.
